Eve Turner

I relocated to Somerset around 10 years ago and have made my home in Langport, living at Great Bow Yard, close to the historic Great Bow Wharf. With over 20 years of experience as a primary school teacher, I now work with the South West Heritage Trust at the Somerset Rural Life Museum, where my passion for heritage and learning continues to guide my work.

In 2025, I was invited to become a trustee of The Warehouse Trust, joining a dedicated team committed to maintaining and developing the Wharf as a thriving community hub for enterprise, leisure, and learning.

Goals for Great Bow Wharf:

• To ensure the Wharf remains a sustainable organisation
• To support its role as a multi-functional community space

What I bring to the Trust:

I am keen to contribute wherever I can, drawing on my background in education and heritage. I believe the Wharf is an important part of Langport’s history and deserves to be both preserved and celebrated for future generations.
